The theme Urban Urgencies is intended to focus on addressing the most pressing urban challenges through innovative, rapid-response research that addresses the urgency of emergent issues, while contributing to grounded, rigorous responses that proactively shape inclusive, equitable and sustainable urban futures.
Up to six innovative projects will be awarded funding of up to GBP £35,000 each, with project activities expected to begin within nine months of the application deadline and to run for a maximum duration of eighteen months.
All proposals must be clearly situated within the academic field of urban studies and demonstrate a compelling and timely contribution to scholarly debate and dialogue.
