The Rainbow Railroad is now accepting applications for funding opportunity focuses on providing support to LGBTQ individuals and communities affected by crises, emphasizing humanitarian emergencies, social crises, and displacement.
Applicants must demonstrate that their work directly supports LGBTQ individuals or communities impacted by humanitarian emergencies (e.g. forced displacement) and social crises (e.g., political oppression leading to displacement, systemic discrimination leading to displacement). Applications should align with the Crisis Response Fund’s core objectives, including providing immediate relief and support to LGTQ communities affected by displacement, building resilience and long-term solutions for those affected by or experiencing displacement, and advancing human rights and dignity during crisis that could be a driver of displacement. Applicants are advised to refer to the relevant geographic region when applying. Each funding round is specific to a certain region at that time. The fund prioritizes applications from regions experiencing existing and/or emerging crises or emergencies with insufficient resources and acute needs due to systemic neglect or geopolitical challenges.
