The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched the call for proposals for the Women's Empowerment Support Project.
Objective
- The objective of this call for proposals is to select a civil society organization responsible for training and supporting 80 women entrepreneurs in the agribusiness sector aged 18 to 50 from rural and peri-urban areas in the regions of Louga, Kaolack, Thiès, Fatick, Matam, Kolda and Ziguinchor on strengthening the entrepreneurial capacities of participants (growth strategies, diversification, marketing, etc.).
- The initiative has three specific objectives:
- Strengthen the entrepreneurial capacities of participants (growth strategies, diversification, marketing);
- Supporting the development of women's general entrepreneurship skills
- Support financing and access to modern tools needed for expansion;
- Connecting women's businesses to national and international markets;
- Support beneficiaries with role models (successful entrepreneurs from various sectors and backgrounds) to ensure the sustainability of their initiatives;
- Strengthening leadership and communication skills
- Strengthening the participation and leadership capacities of women in their communities of origin
- Promoting a better understanding of gender equality and the prevention of GBV
- Carry out a light impact study on the beneficiaries at the end of the project
