General overview of services required/results
- Building on lessons learned on community peacebuilding from past projects and considering the evolving national and local context in Cox’s Bazar, UN Women seeks to partner with a local WRO. The Responsible Party shall implement community-led peacebuilding and social cohesion initiatives through women peacebuilders in ten locations (8 refugee camps and 2 host community locations) focusing on conflict prevention, mediation, trust-building, and early warning, while contributing analytical inputs and lessons learned to the next iteration of the NAP WPS.
- The Responsible Party must have the operational capacity to manage, implement, coordinate, collaborate, monitor, and report on overall project activities, as well as the necessary financial management and capacity development expertise.
- The Responsible Party must be legally registered in Bangladesh and should have a proven track record of working in the areas of Protection and/or the Gender-Based Violence Sub-Sector (GBV-SS), and the PSEA Network in Cox’s Bazar, which would contribute to advancing the Joint Response Plan (2025-2026) strategic objective on peace and social cohesion, as well as to the wider normative frameworks outlined in the UNSCR 1325 and under the BPfA.
