Description:
The Small Grants Programme (SGP) works directly by providing grants and technical support to local NGOs and community-based organizations (CBOs).
UNDP Cambodia would like to invite local NGOs and CBOs working on environmental conservation, climate change adaptation and poverty reduction in all villages, communes, districts inside and nearby the Central Cardamom Mountain National Park and Biodiversity hotspots in Cambodia, as well as those focusing on innovative energy access for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in Cambodia, to submit their project concept papers for the grants.
The GEF SGP embodies the vision of the development agenda, “To transform the world through sustainable development”. By providing financial and technical support to those who are poor and needy, the government is committed to improving the well-being and livelihood of the people. Small-scale assistance shows that the community's resources can achieve a better balance between human resources and economic activities.
SGP is a flagship initiative of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) that supports communities to implement sustainable and effective policies aimed at improving the quality of life of people and communities while reducing poverty and hunger, as well as promoting gender equality and empowering women.
